He is a boy of a few words, but he surely knows how to negotiate. After severals rounds of asking him to take his nap, I give up. I gave him his fave Barney VCD, and told him to nap after the VCD. He simply replied a "YA". 20 mins into the VCD, he dozed off. Muaahahah

Mother's Love Porridge
Joel, as with the usual kids, falls sick easily after he goes to school. So I cooked porridge for him last weekend. I have not cooked porridge ever since he ventured into rice, fried stuff - the junk food. The porridge as always is full of good ingredients. Dried scallops, sweet corn, carrot, wolfberries, spinanch and a big piece of fish. He finished 3/4 of the pot, me only a small tiny bowl :)

New Recipe -Stew Chicken with Coke
I bought a recipe book, and decided to venture Coke into my dinner menu. Dad & Joel loves it. I think the Coke adds sweetness to the stew chicken, very nice. Joel was licking the gravy of his fingers. And its so simple to prepare.
Ingredients: 8 chicken wings, Coke, 4 slices of ginger, garlic.
Fry ginger and garlic till fragrant, put the chicken in and fry for a few minutes. Add about 400ml of coke, then add oyster sauce, light sauce, dark sauce. Taste, add more sauce if you prefer heavier taste. Then simmer for at least 45mins. Then viola!! you have it , Coca Cola chicken!
There is also a Sprite honey chicken, which I will try next time.

I mopped the floor after our dinner. The next moment, he was also mopping the floor. Very pro, mopped the dining room, kitchen even to the study room.

Me - Hairstylist Wannabe
Very auntish - I took up a haircutting course at the CC near my home. I am supposed to be able to cut hair from the 12th lesson, that's still a long way to go, I just completed my 2nd lesson only. For the whole of my Basic One lesson, she is my customer. Joel called her auntie... I have gave her a name -- Winnie. Winnie is my 1st customer, and I have to treat her with lots of TLCs. Her long flowy hair will be just about 2 inches by the end of my basic lesson. I will be learning man's cut from the 5th lesson, and that's what I been looking foward to! Daddy! Joel! BEWARE!
Credit Crunch Lunch
We went to Hard Rock to try out the $10nett lunch. Every course is fine... except the main course portion is pathetically small. Its for small eater, but for $10nett, no complains esp you have a cup of hagaan daz ice cream!
Still so in love with him
Such a big baby, he still loves Barney alot. He looks at Barney's pictures etc, and called out "MOMMY". His mom is a purple dino. DUH.

I just realised I have not posted much things for a long time... my memory must be failing. Have not loaded the pics at all ! !
After that big emo outbreak, Joe's been quite good, he waved bye byes to us on the school bus, that's a huge comfort to us!
But I am so afraid the one week school term break means the crying will start again next Monday, pray hard he will not!!
